Tuesday - monte faito As we were having breakfast today, we went from finalizing our day to Pompeii to switching last minute and taking a funivia up to monte faito! The heat at Pompeii midday would have been too much for the kids. So, my parents joined us for another adventure! We took the train to castellammare di stabia and then a cable car up to monte faito, hiked around & had lunch.  Waiting for train Wild ponys! Train station art vesuvio: My cousins who went said it was very hot but so amazing! We're going to try and go when my brother's are here next week and go right at 9am! 😆

I've been here for a week?!

G'day Mates! The touristy stuff we did on Sunday worked out well. The Mcgoffin house was actually closed for Christmas Tea, but we persuaded them to give us a tour anyways! The house is made completely of adobe. If you are not familiar, it is a clay like substance and when it rains the house leaks. Four generations of Mcgoffins lived there before turning it over to the state. There are only two steps in the house because of the adobe there is no foundation but the walls are 3ft thick. The aerial tramway was also pretty sweet. We ventured to the highest point in Texas. It was about a mile above sea level at the top of the Franklin Mountains. At the top, we walked around and saw two nations and 2 states. It was a clear day out so we could see well in to New Mexico and the snow resorts. Computer Science classes

This is my second computer science class at Mary Washington. I took Computer Science last year because I thought it would be good to learn what was going on inside the computer and how the parts form together to make a program. I learned a lot and was interested but just not enough to continue on with the studies. Some of my friends had recommended this class and again I wanted to understand just how the internet worked "behind the scenes." So far it has been interesting since I have never heard of blogs until the first day of class. I can see now why it is a growing trend! Are there any other computer science classes that you recommend?
