California

We are in California for the week for Christmas! After a wild flight - 2 airplane emergencies and a delay due to an airport staff mix up we finally arrived in SFO early Tuesday morning. We have been catching up with the cousins around the breakfast table and planning our Napa and Heavenly adventures later on in the week. We are going to head to the Academy of Science Museum today. I hope we catch a planetarium show!

Carlos Prom and Graduation

Thursday night was Carlo's graduation. The week before was his prom. I, naturally, took pictures at both and thought I would share a few! Enjoy!

Zooma Annapolis 10k Race

This past weekend my friend and I went up to Annapolis to run the Zooma 10k. It was fun race that friends and I ran last year, so I decided to keep the tradition alive! What makes it even better is that we were able to take the boat up to the race and make a full weekend out of it. The race is on Sunday, which limits our Saturday night fun...but it is worth it. Saturday afternoon, after we docked in the harbor, we walked around and grabbed a carb filled dinner. We people watched (one of my favorite activities) from the boat and turned in early for the big race Sunday morning. We got a cab Sunday at 6am to the Navy football stadium for the 7am race! I thought that would be early enough to beat the heat, boy was I wrong! It was sticky and I was dripping sweat even before the race started. I am going to say that the heat had a role in slowing down my time. What? Its the lack of training you say? Never!! I admit, my training for this race was absent...in that I didn't focus the weeks b

The Christensen's

Last weekend, I drove down to Durham to spend some time with Christine and Logan. It has been a while since our last visit so I was very excited to catch up with them. I had a wonderful time listening to their new adventures in medical and nursing school! How they will be both Duke and UNC fans will be fun to watch. he he ;-) Christine took me on a wonderful Durham/Chapel Hill Exploratory Adventure! I have posted some pictures below, but we saw Duke University, Duke Gardens, UNC campus to include the nursing building, UNC Old Well, UNC bookstore, Franklin Street, and downtown Durham! It was sad to go, but I think a trip back in the fall for a football or basketball game can b e arranged :- )
