Colosseum Tour

Today is James and my 8th wedding anniversary! One thing I love about us going with the flow, so to celebrate today, we cheered with coffee! (Ravello was our "anniversary trip" if you will)

The whole fam at the Coliseum!

This morning we got up with pastry and coffee from across the street, packed our bags, and headed out to tour the Coliseum and Roman Forum.

Luckily the Coliseum was only a 15 minute walk from our Airbnb. We had a hot hot tour, but learned from yesterday that we needed snacks, candy and Gatorade to keep the kids (and us) going!

Hard to depict how Hot & humid it was 🥵
Christian enjoyed the "ancient history"
After our tour ended, we got Lemon Granita's, and walked back to grab our bags, meandering through the streets. We had a leisurely lunch and then boarded the metro for the Rome Train station. We boarded our 430 train, and are now riding in our van back to the villa, where Magda and Tony are preparing us a delicious dinner!

I'm so in need of a cold shower!

We have 2 days left...so hard to believe we are wrapping up our time here!! It's been such a good mix of relaxing days and dripping sweat days!

Our last and final hurrah is going to Pompeii! We have tentative plans with Carlo and Mallory to go Thursday. Mallory's brother is here from Portugal for a few days (he lives in Portugal and hasn't met baby Lincoln, so it was an opportune time to visit the villa!), So hopefully he and his wife will join us too!

Long time lurker first time poster. So happy to see the colororange blog back after a decade of life building.

Rome must always be hot - maybe that's why the gelato is so good. Still looked like a great cultural activity. Enjoy Pompeii!!

Thanks for the update Signora Arancione!
