Agua y plastico

Hoy:
we are listening to Cindy Lauper as we type up this blog. I have enlisted Amanda as my creative director for the blog as my last one was full of entonces, entonces , entonces (Are you mocking me?)

Upon a neuvo amigo recommendation we went to the San Telmo market. The market had very nice selection of gifts and local BA items. the problem that occured over and over was that no one accepted plasitc. So being educated ladies we went to the local bank to take out cash from the atm. apparently one needs a pìn number to take out cash and amanda did not know that on her credit card. we had our international phone and decided to call capitl one. After being yelled at for not knowing the pin we finally got money from amandas credit card...enough for us to buy a few gifts at the market.

let me ask you someting..do you know the pin number to your credit card? yeah i didnt think so.

Tango:
we went to Sabor a Tango anoche with our new amiga de UK. >We took a lesson, had a wonderful steak and watched the Tango show. The oddest part was towards the end the singer broke into Dont Cry for me Argentina...and a slide show came up with pictures of Eva Peron. I think that part of the show came from american influence.
Today we went on a bike tour. It was guided by our good friend Frede who told us great facts about >Argentine history. You can tell how nice a restaurant is by the cleanliness of their bathrooms...and theres were sparkling.

Agua;
* water is not available in this city
*asking for con gas/sin gas is a must
*sometimes when asking for 2 vasos de auga ::: you only get one
* patience is a must as it took us 2.5 hours one day to get 1 glass of water
*bottled water is even harder to come by..dont ask

Plastico
Prior to arriving we thought that we would have a couple hundred dollars in cash and then use credit cards most of the time...boy were we wrong>!>!! No one accpets credit card around here..our hostel and all our adventuires only take cash. when restaurants do accept cash they dont allow tip on the card...

These are two things that we are finding difficult to cope with, however our hostel receptionist has made up for it with his witty remarks... Guido is his name...he told us we were high maintenance american girls who are always in a rush. I think he secretly enjoys our nagging requests.

one more thing... everyone snoggs around here (PDA!) there are more people sucking face in the streets of Bs.As. than anywhere else I have ever been. Amanda and I have yet to be included! haha

Tomorrow should be fun...we are going to a rancho, with the gauchos.
