Cousin Scooter Day!

Tuesday was our cousin scooter day and it was quite memorable!

As we have been planning this trip for the past year we have been scheduling both individual trips and group trips. My cousins all settled on renting scooters together to adventure around Sorrento!

The 5 two person scooters were supposed to be delivered Tuesday morning but Monday evening the rental company called and said that it would be easier for them to drop them off later Monday night. We didn't think this would be a problem but that ended up coming during our host cooking our seafood dinner, and they ask of us having to fill out lots of paper forms. This did not sit well with the Nonna's at the table, and they "ran him off" before we finished the paper work.

Tuesday morning the drivers assembled and try to tackle their first hurdle which was navigating out of our driveway and down the very steep hill onto the main road. This was most likely the hardest part of the entire trip and unfortunately one of my cousins crashed his bike coming out of our driveway which ended his scootering career 🥴.

The rest of us try to motivate our drivers (our men), and we did a few test drives on the hilly and curvy road before committing to driving the 20 minutes into town. Once the nerves settled it was a beautiful and scenic ride (at least from my backseat view 😁)

Once in town we found a nice spot to eat lunch along one of the shopping alleys -The Garden - where we ordered ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers, "Vesuvius" pizza and aperol Spritz! We walked around town enjoying all the tchotchkes, linen clothes, leather bags and limoncello. We met up with my parents who had the kids and the rest of our family who came into Town via bus. Christian saw his first firetruck, and police car. We went on a short trolley ride around town to get familiar with the area and then had gelato and dinner. (Dinner @ Aurora)

After a smooth ride home, we played a few new to us games (tranquility and house flippers).
